Month Of November Nail Polish HAUL With Swatches!

I tried to put myself on a "no-buy" for awhile since last month I bought quite a few polishes. I did pretty good for a week or so, but I fell short. On a positive note, I didn't do as much damage as October. So, here are the swatches of my new babies.

Color Club
Sugar Plum Yum: A clear base chunky multi-glitter with large purple glitter and smaller green glitter. It was kind of hard to work with but I think it was worth it.

Antiquated: A medium toned blue foil with a silver base.
Cold Metal: A beige foil with a silver base.

Hot Like Lava: A pretty bright pink foil with a silver base.

Perfect Mol-Ten: I love this polish. It's a green foil with a silver base.

Foil Me Once: This one was wierd to me. I was expecting it to be a pink because it looked pink it the bottle, but it's actually a purple foil with a silver base.

Lumin-Icecent:This is a light-bluish, silver foil with silver base.

Artsy Crafty: I loved this one from the get-go. It's a popular for this fall; a army green type creme polish. I thought it looked similiar to ChG Westside Warrior, but when I compared them, you can see they are very much different.

Boho Mojo: Boho Mojo was a complete and udder fail for me. The color is aweful with my skin tone and the application was terrible.

Blue-Topia: I have no other words to describe this color other than, "B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L." This a dark, almost black, blue. Only downfall is it stains like crazy but IMO, it's worth the hassel.

Rebel Spirit:This is just a brown/marroon polish. Nothing too special to say about this one.

Galaxy Manicure & "How-To" video.

Hello! Today I wanted to show my 'Galaxy' manicure that I did a few months ago. I've seen this done many times on random forums and blogs and thought, "what the heck?!" This is actually a super easy technique of light sponging with random polishes. There really is no rhyme or reason for color placement either.. just kinda go with the flow, and BAM! Seriously, it was THAT easy.

If you'd like to see how I did this manicure, check out the video below! :)
Thanks for reading and I will see ya in the next blog! Bye! <3

China Glaze 'Let It Snow' Haul/Swatches

China Glaze 'Let It Snow' collection is jam packed with twelve gorgeous glitter, metallic and creme polishes; all perfect for the fall and Christmas. I went to my local Sallys on a whim one night just to look around and low and behold they had some of these babies on display! They only had six polishes from the collection out and luckily for me, two of them were the ones I had been eye balling since hearing about this collection.

The first one I grabbed is 'Twinkle Lights'. Shocked? Of course not. I'm a feind for a multi-glitter nail polish! This beauty is a clear based glitter polish with loads of gold, red and green glitter throughout. I thought I would use this polish for layering but after swatching this polish on it's own, undies are not needed! I used four coats to satisfy my want for opacity and it turned out so beautifully that I have been wearing it for three days! (I generally get bored after a day or two of the same mani)

The other polish I have heard raves about and peaked my interest is 'Snow Globe'. For this one, I struggled getting an accurate picture but it is a clear base glitter polish with irridescent glitters and large irridescent hexagon shaped glitters throughout. Now this one for me is definitely a layering polish so I applied it over the last polish I got from this collection, 'Icicle'.

'Icicle' is a silver foil/metallic polish. I don't generally buy these types of polishes because they are messy to remove and silver usually gives me major lobster hands, but the way this one looked with all the other ones, it was just too pretty not to buy.

It's definitely not a unique color, but it's beautiful nonetheless. I got it home and immediately it reminded me of a similiar polish I had; Sonia Kashuk's 'Smoke and Mirrors'. I decided to compare the two:

The slight difference I see from comparing the bottles is S&M's is a bit more metallic and looks to be a tad bit lighter than 'Icicle'.

These polishes are so similiar that in my opinion if you have either of these, the other one isn't necessary. The only thing that I like more about 'Icicle' is that it doesn't leave uneven streaks like S&M's does.

Thanks so much for checking out my blog and I'll see you in the next post! Bye! <3

Update Nov 4,2011

I meandered back to Sallys yesterday and they had the entire 'Let It Snow' collection out! How did I look past 'Blue Year's Eve' when I was looking at swatches?! What a perfect winter blue! It's a dark yet bright blue and it is UH-mazing! <3

Everything in this blog was purchased myself. I am not getting paid for this blog post.

Kardashian Kolors Haul/Swatches

As many of you may already know, The Kardashians teamed up with Nicole by OPI (NOPI) to create their own nail polish collection called, "Kardashian Kolors". The collection features a total of fourteen creme and glitter nail polishes ranging from a bold red to a dainty, soft pink. I found the collection at my local Wal Mart and bought these four polishes:

My favorite polish in this collection hands down, is Khloe Has A Little Lam Lam. It's a creme blue/green polish and the minute I layed eyes on it I knew I had to have it! Many websites describe this as being a dark emerald, but IMO it is not. It's definitely got blue in it. This color is easily a two coater but I applied three for this swatch.

I am sucker for a multi-glitter nail polish, so it came as no suprise that I would have to be adding this beauty to my collection as well. "Kendall On The Katwalk" is a blue base glitter polish with light blue, green and purple glitter in it. The swatches I took and the swatches I've seen from other people have been pretty, but no picture has yet to capture the true beauty of this polish in person. I applied four coats for full opacity.

The third polish I bought is "Sealed With A Kris". There's nothing extravagant or unique about this color, I just happen to not own a deep red nail polish and figured I'd buy this one. The first coat showed up very pink, but darkened nicely to a rich red after the second coat. I applied three coats for full opacity.

"All Kendall-ed Up" was my second favorite polish until I swatched it. Again, a very dupable, yet gorgeous color but it just doesn't work well with my skintone. I think I have too much pink in my skin to pull this color off. It's still gorgeous and applied beautifully. This is very easily a two coater, but I applied three coats for this swatch.

I am very happy with these polishes. The only regret I have is not also buying "Disco Dolls". Guess I'll have to make another trip to Wally World! :) Thanks so much for reading and I'll see ya in the next blog.
