EYE CATCHING BOHEMIAN MANICURE USING TAPE!

Well hello there! Long time no post, eh? I know! I like to pop up sporadically to keep everyone on their toes. Haha. Just kidding!

Today I wanted to share with you a manicure that I have been sporting for a few days now. This particular manicure has received so many compliments, and I love it so much that I haven't taken it off yet. I got the inspiration from a post that was shared on MUA. This girl did something using this  colors scheme and I fell in love! So, I searched my collection for similar colors and let me creativity do it's thing and this is what I came up with.

It's bohemian with a little bit of an Egyptian feel to it, right?!  The polishes I used are Sinful Colors, 'Snow Me White', Revlon 'Gold Coin' and a black acrylic paint.

To see how I did this manicure, you can check out the video below! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iw0zAj_2ztA)
I hope you all have a great week!

My First Ombre; Pink Manicure!

Hello ladies! If you're a fan of pink then you are in for a treat because todays manicure uses nothing but pink polishes; 5 of them. Today I gave the ombre manicure a try for the first time. For those you that are unaware of what an ombre manicure is, ombre is described in the fashion world as being, "the graduation of color from light to dark" and vise versa. So basically the manicure gradually fades from dark to light or from light to dark.

(Polishes Used from L to R: ChG 'Go Go Pink', Sinful 'Pink Forever', ChG 'Rich and Famous', ChG 'Fuchsia Fanatic', and ChG 'Exotic Cranberry'.)

Considering how basic and simple the ombre manicure is, I really dont know why its taken me so long to try it out. I really love it though; it's simple yet eye catching. I got quite a few compliments on it.

So, that todays manicure. I hope you guys enjoyed and I will talk to you all soon!

Another spring manicure? You don't say...

Well hello there! What is this, like the third post in a week? I totally just *high fived* myself! I love when I get enough time to actually do a manicure, take a picture of it AND write a blog! It makes me feel accomplished! Haha.
Soooo, this is what I have for you lovely ladies (maybe some gentleman too? I dont know) today. Now if this just isn't the epitome of "spring", then please tell me what is. Both of these colors screamed, "Hi Amanda, I represent spring nicely. Use me!" I've got such a soft spot in my heart for these two colors so it was a given. Ok, this post just got a little wierd. LOL
So, I painted my nails Sinful Colors 'Amethyst' and then decided to have two accent nails painted with China Glaze 'Four Leaf Clover'. I'm quite a fan of this color combo. Maybe a water marble with these colors are in the near future?! Who knows.

It got late and I got bored. That's normal for me if I stay up much longer than my normal "bed time". I get ansy and start fumbling with my manicure. Which is exactly what happened here! :) I decided to pull out some shimmer peices and go to town. One nail has green sparkles and the other nail I did a few flowers. Definitely spring-like. I think I'm over celebrating Spring this year; what is this like my 3rd or 4th spring manicure? I can't  help myself.
I'm not 100% whether I like this manicure yet or not. I think the idea in my head was better than what I ended up with. Anyways, let me know what you guys think. I will chit chat with you guys in the next post so until then, check out my Facebook and check me out on YouTube . Alright guys, talk to ya soon!

Springtime Tape Manicure!

Spring is here and it's time to dismiss the dark vampy winter colors and welcome in the bright colors for spring. I grabbed the brightest blue (ChG 'Flyin High'), pink (ChG 'Rich and Famous') and purple (ChG 'Spontaneous') in my stash and went to work. Initially I was going to do a water marble with these three colors but decided that I have done a lot of those recently and went for this striped design instead.

I took several pictures during the process of doing this manicure, but it was late at night and my lighting at night is terrible. The picture quality came out horrendous so I'll try to explain how I did this manicure with words instead.

Firstly, I painted three vertical stripes on each nail using the three colors from my stash that I chose. After the polish dried, I applied Sinful Colors 'Smoking Hot' to the entire nail to give it that glitter effect and then applied Seche Vite top coat. While I waited for the nails to dry completely through, with scissors I cut up several strips of scotch tape. Once my nails were COMPLETLEY dry (approx. 10 mintes) I did my best to place the tape on my nails evenly and as straight as possible. You can see in the picture above that I chose to change the direction of the diagonal lines in each nail but obviously you dont have to. Once I was happy with the placement of my tape, I painted over the nail again with Sinful Colors 'Black On Black' and immediately removed the tape before the black polish had a chance to dry. I do this because if the black polish were to dry before I lifted the tape, it would leave a messy line instead of a nice crisp line. Again I applied Seche Vite to the finished design and thats it! Pretty simple.
I hope you guys enjoyed this manicure! Talk to ya soon!

Easter Manicure and FACEBOOK!

Happy Easter everyone, and if you don't celebrate Easter then happy Sunday! Before I forget, I want to mention that I made a Facebook. If you'd like to be friends on there, here's the link to my Facebook. I created a "page" on Facebook a week or so ago but I could not get it figured out so I created a normal page and deleted the old one. :)

Okay, being that today is Easter, I wanted to share with you my Easter mani. I didn't want the typical "chick" or "bunny" manicure so I went with a pastel blue floral water marble. I practiced on the thumb first and loved how it turned out, so I recreated the design on all of my nails. The rhinestone represents the center of the flower.

I used ChG "Sea Spray" as my base color and marble with that and a white polish from Rimmel. For the dots outlining the flower pedals, I used a toothpick and ChG "Icicle". The rhinestones I bought in a set awhile back from Sally's. They were way overpriced, so if you're looking to purchase some, I recommend Ebay or Amazon.

I hope you guys enjoyed this manicure and I will talk to you all again soon!

FISHNET AND GLITTER, OH MY!

Hi guys. I have been rather lazy when it comes to my manicures lately. My husband is on vacation from work and I am on spring break, so I've been spending a lot of time with him. I did mess around with my nails a few times this last week but every manicure looked terrible. It was almost like I was forcing my creativity instead of allowing it to create itself. LOL! So, today something came to me and I wanted to share it with you guy. I'm calling this my, "Fishnet and Glitter" manicure. Hopefully my creativity will come back soon because I'm having a dry spell at the moment. LOL. I installed the Instgram app and used it to add a little effect to this picture. If you don't have that app yet you should get it. Ok, so for this manicure the polishes I used are Sinful Colors "Black on Black" and China Glaze "Rock Solid" and then I just applied silver glitter particles to my accent nail. I hope you guys like this manicure, and I will talk to you guys in the next post! Bye!
